We are so happy to share that we were blessed with a perfect day for our annual Golf Day this year. An event which helps raise both awareness and much needed funds to continue serving and supporting vulnerable children and youth in JeffreysBay. The Golf Club management once again made sure the course was in great condition. Club captain Peter Viljoen and both Leonard Rodriques and Philip Louw did an excellent job to make the day run well.
A very big thank you for the dedication and hard work of the organizing committee consisting of Frans van Eeden, Vincent Tee, Michelle Dorfling from Joshua Project and Margaret Rodriques who spear-headed the committee as well as all our generous sponsors, without whom, this day would not have been possible. Even during financially difficult times, they still opened their hearts and hands for the vulnerable children in JeffreysBay. We commend each sponsor.
Eighty golfers took part in the I.P.S. competition this year; we want to thank them for playing with such good spirit and for generously supporting our cause. They were rewarded with free drinks on the short holes and could qualify for two hampers for those nearest to the pin. There were many wonderful prizes up for grabs which included a flat screen television as first prize won by Eldred J van Rensberg. Other prizes included; a golf bag, great meat prizes, appliances, vouchers and many more. Joey van Jaarsveld walked away with a lovely beauty voucher as first prize for the ladies. There was also a lucky draw competition where a lovely hamper, 2 nights accommodation and Coca-Cola goodies could be won.
All in all, it was a blessed event and we look forward to going bigger and even better next year!
Thank you also to Gerrit Boshoff for photos included.
