26 kids had a FUN time at camp!
26 very excited kids were ready bright and early on the 24th of October to go on their annual camp which remains the highlight of their year here at Joshua Project and this year was no exception! The 3 day camp was held at Landela Christian Camp in Elands River.
The word that best describes this camp experience for all was: ‘FUN’! The well planned program was jam-packed with great activities, which included a hike, fun games, team competitions and many more. There was also time for devotions and group discussions and opportunities to grow. This was the theme this year: G.R.O.W. (God Restores Our Way).
There was time for play as well and for the kids to ‘be kids’ and to be released from their ‘adult’ responsibilities faced with regularly in their daily lives.
Everyone also really enjoyed the food provided which was described as being, “delicious, nutritious, divine and right on time!” The kids also had the opportunity to assist with meal preparations.
Once again God’s provision for which we are so thankful was absolutely perfect! We would like to thank our main camp sponsor, Seagull Tours, a special thanks to Elizabeth, whose committed support was awesome! Also thank you to Billabong who sponsored t-shirts for all the kids (thank you Karin) and Super Spar, Jeffreys Bay for the food voucher they gave. This provision ensured that the kids had a wonderful blessed camp.
A big thank you to the team as well who made sure that the kids returned, not only exhausted from all the fun and in high-spirits, but also having grown personally from this experience.
