The morning started with much excitement for the children who visit Joshua Project. Today was the day of their year-end function.
The weather was slightly overcast, but this didn’t dampen the spirits of the children or put a damper on the events, as most of the activities took place indoors.
The children and volunteers boarded a bus, provided by Barry’s Transport (always willing to help out with special rates), at Joshua Project.
They were taken to Lumo Putt-Putt where they enjoyed a round of Putt-Putt hosted by André and Irma, the owners.
It was the first time playing Lumo Putt-Putt for most of the children and they had loads of fun.
After the putt-putt, they were taken to Marina Wharf, situated on the canals of Marina Martinique, for lunch. They were given a friendly welcome by the staff at Marina Wharf. The children were given the option of a hamburger and chips or pizza for lunch, along with a cold-drink of their choice. This was followed by ice cream cones.
Marina Wharf then took the children on a free boat ride around the Marina. It was a little chilly on the boat but the children thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thank you again to Barry’s Transport, Andre and Irma of Lumo Putt-Putt and Marina Wharf, who all played a part in making the day special for the kids.
Thank you to Joshua Project Team Members for helping make this an occasion the children won’t forget.
